Titanic Belfast and Mural Tour

Titanic Experience: Titanic Belfast is an iconic six-floor building featuring nine interpretive and interactive galleries that explore the sights, sounds, smells, and stories of the Titanic. Located where the ship was originally created in 1912, the exhibition follows the story of the Titanic, from her conception in Belfast, through her construction and launch, to her famous maiden voyage and subsequent place in history.

The self-guided Titanic Experience tour lasts about 1.5 hours and extends over nine galleries. Cleverly designed exhibits enlivened by historical images, animated projections, and soundtracks chart Belfast’s rise to a turn-of-the-20th-century industrial superpower, followed by a high-tech ride through a noisy, smells-and-all recreation of the city’s shipyards.

Political and Mural belfast peace wall tour highlight

Belfast is a beautiful vibrant city with a thriving nightlife scene it is a popular holiday destination, but it has a chequered past. For over 35 years the city was enthralled in a bloody civil war. Fought between the mainly nationalist catholic community and mainly loyalist protestant community.

Out of the chaos came some of Belfast’s most recognizable landmarks, its Murals. Belfast Political and Mural Tour will take you from east to west, north to south taking in both sides of the community and how they depicted their war efforts through amazingly detailed Murals.

Northern Ireland has become famous for the Murals painted in almost every area of the country. They often depict the history and political views of both traditions and are a way of marking territory.
