Carnlough Harbour: Series six of Game of Thrones saw Carnlough harbor feature for the first time. This harbor although built in the nineteenth century during the famine years still retains an old-world charm, which meant that it didn’t seem out of place when it first appeared in Game of Thrones.

Cushendun – Storms End: This is a stunning coastal location with incredibly rugged yet beautiful geological features! What happened in these Cushendun caves took many GOT fans by surprise. The unforgettable scene where Melisandre gives birth to the monstrous shadow baby.

Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge: Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge is situated near the charming village of Ballintoy. They will be an opportunity to take a photo from the viewing point of the Rope Bridge which was at one time used by salmon fishers. (You will not be able to cross the bridge due to time constraints)

Larrybane Quarry: Renly Baratheon’s Camp Used in season 2 when Renly and Queen Marjery watched the fight between the Queen’s brother and Brienne of Tarth

Ballintoy Harbour – Lordsport: Ballintoy Harbour is the location for Theon Greyjoy’s return to the Iron Islands. This small coastal village is one of the most pretty and picturesque towns in Ireland. Ballintoy means “raised beach” and it was used for the exterior Pyke shots in the Game of Thrones™ TV series.

White Park Bay: A Beautiful scenic beach at the very tip of Ireland and the closest country from here would be Iceland which is 800 miles away.

Lunch Stop: We can stop for lunch in a nice Irish pub to sample our good food and maybe a cheeky pint of Guinness. Or if you want to keep it simple then a nice portion of fish and chips and not forgetting mushy peas, from one of the local chip shops.

Giant’s Causeway: We continue along the coastal drive with fantastic views of Whitepark Bay and Portbradden. We visit the 37,000 basalt columns whose tops form “stepping stones” leading from the cliff foot and disappearing under the sea.

They reappear in the island of Straffe, hence the legend that this was a road built by the giant Finn McCool to enable him to cross over to Scotland. Truly an amazing wonder of the world!

Dunluce Castle – House of Greyjoy: We continue a wonderful day with a photo stop at Dunluce Castle. We arrive at one of the most dramatic castle ruins in the world. Prepare to be amazed at the way this old castle hangs over the edge of the cliffs. Home to the McDonnell Clan for many years and considered the most romantic castle in Ireland.

The Dark Hedges: One of the most popular natural phenomena in Northern Ireland, the Dark Hedges were used as a set for the hit TV series Game of Thrones. It was the famous King’s Road in Season 2. The hedges were planted by the Stuart family in the eighteenth century.

It was intended to impress visitors as they approached the entrance to their home, Gracehill House. Two centuries later, the trees remain a magnificent sight and have become known as the Dark Hedges.
