Photography Tour from Belfast

This is a typical full-day photography tour itinerary. It can be customised to suit your preferences, ensuring a perfect experience for photographers of all levels.

Tour Start: Approx. 8:00 am (pick-up time may vary depending on your location). Your driver and guide will meet you at your hotel or cruise port in Belfast and begin the journey along the rolling farmlands of County Antrim, famous for being a filming location of Game of Thrones.

Antrim Coast Road: Travel along the Antrim Coast Road, considered one of the world’s most scenic drives. The road hugs the rugged coastline, offering spectacular views of the Atlantic, unspoiled beaches, and dramatic cliffs. On a clear day, you might even spot Scotland across the sea.

Carnlough Village: Our first stop is Carnlough, a charming fishing village with a quaint harbour used by both pleasure boats and small fishing vessels. Take a quick break, enjoy the scenery, and capture photos of this picturesque spot, which retains its old-world charm and even appeared in Game of Thrones.

Causeway Coastline Views: Continue along the Causeway Coastal Route, passing Ballycastle to Dunluce, one of the world’s most dramatic coastal drives. Stop at viewpoints to photograph windswept cliffs, unspoiled beaches, and stunning seaside landscapes.

Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge: Visit the iconic Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, one of Northern Ireland’s most iconic landmarks. The bridge spans a 75-foot chasm between the mainland and a small island.

Please note: There is approximately a one-mile walk from the car park to the bridge, including uneven and unpaved pathways, which may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues, small children, or strollers.

If you wish to cross the bridge, tickets must be pre-booked. Please let us know before purchasing tickets, and we will advise an approximate arrival time. If you do not wish to cross, we can stop at the viewing point for photographs. Access may occasionally be restricted due to weather conditions or maintenance.

White Park Bay: Stop at White Park Bay, a beautiful sandy beach at the northern tip of Ireland. Capture the sweeping views and stunning seascapes, a photographer’s paradise for sunrise, sunset, or midday light.

Giant’s Causeway Photography Tour: Explore the Giant’s Causeway, often called the 8th Wonder of the World and Northern Ireland’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk among the ancient basalt columns, photograph unique rock formations, and discover the myths and legends of this spectacular area.

Lunch Stop: We recommend taking a lunch break at the Giant’s Causeway Hotel, where you can enjoy one of the best fish and chips along the coast. Alternatively, stop at a local Irish pub to sample classic Northern Irish dishes, including hearty meals and, of course, a pint of Guinness. This is the perfect opportunity to relax and recharge before continuing your full-day photography tour along the North Antrim Coast.

Old Bushmills Whiskey Distillery: Visit Bushmills Whiskey Distillery, dating back to 1608, Old Bushmills Distillery is the oldest working whiskey distillery in Ireland. During your visit, you can enjoy a tasting session and learn about the craftsmanship and heritage of Irish whiskey.

Dunluce Castle: Photograph the dramatic ruins of Dunluce Castle, perched on the cliffs of the North Antrim Coast. This historic site offers incredible views and is perfect for landscape and architectural photography.
